Does anyone else get this in the morning?

Hi All,
I get very blocked up at night time when I go to bed, I think it must be allergies.
In the morning, when I go to swallow, I always feel thick mucus and then what think is the taste of blood, then nothing else for the rest of the day.
Anyone else get this?
I"m assuming it's from my nose, I'm not coughing or anything.
Anyone else?!

I regularly wake up feeling bunged up. Especially in the winter.

It's summer where I am and I think it's definitely allergies ... so frustrating, I guess it's the blood that freaks me out I think

I get it all year round, it's a dust mite allergy, always worse in the morning because of pillows/ dust under bed..
It's gets really bad when I change my bedding as all the dust gets stirred up in the air, I have found anti allergy pillow covers have helped loads.
Try antihistamine for a couple of weeks ( check with GP first)

I don't get the mucus, but everytime I lie down without fail, my right nostril blocks and I need to sleep with my mouth open (cue dry mouth in the morning grr!). I agree it could definitely be allergies.

I get the exact same with or without a cold.

I actually got it this morning but I'm getting over a cold. It was disgusting tasting haha. But it's definitely allergies and the very dry air of the winter.
