Fear of Storms

This ones an issue I need advice on coping with, it's winter and thunderstorms still come around and get me shooken up. I know it's a bit of an irrational fear and I'm a bit embarassed, but does anyone have any advice on tuning out thunderstorms when they do come? Any advice would be really appreciated.

Well you aren't alone on this iam terrified of lightning the thunder doesn't bother me in the slightest What I do is simply after the flash count in secs so for every 1 sec its 5 miles away so if I get to 3 secs and more then I know it's not overhead so you could try that! HTH :)
