Amelanotic Nodular melanoma fear

I had a scab in my hair a couple of weeks back and I scratched at it a few times. Anyway it healed but there was a lump there (see pic) that I'm sure wasn't there before. Anyway I have been panicking as I know Nodular melanoma is aggressive and often spawns from nowhere but I caught it again and there was 4 short hairs underneath. Can you have ingrown hairs that aren't infected and just skin coloured? Just wondering if the scar tissue blocked the hairs and raised the skin but it wasn't infected?

With respect, when I read of an ailment that I've never heard of, I automatically blame it on Dr. Google as no one that doesn't have a medical background would even have an inkling. I have to imagine that's the case here. It's just a scab healing is all IMO but as always, we're not doctors and if you're truly that concerned, see you doctor but I think you can save your $$$ and allow it to heal for a few weeks.
