Ok been on Luvox for like a total of a month but only at 100 mgs. Just sent up to 200 mgs seven days ago not feeling alot better, wondering should I stick it out or move on to another med?Any thoughts appreciated.

Thats a really short time to expect a change in outcomes, 7 days, suggest you chat with your GP, Prescriber ?

I personally would wait another month. I've always been told 6-8 weeks for full effect. That's just my opinion though you should do what you feel is right.

I am actually thinking of doing ECT again, had it like 10 years ago.

ECT always sounds inhumane to me, is there any real science behind it?

Yes there is its not what alot of people think it is. For people not responding to meds and therapy it can be very helpful.

Beth, ultimately it is up to you. I think many people have a preconceived idea of what they think ECT is and how it is performed in modern day.

In response to Mezzanine, is there any real science behind anti depressants?

My only advice is to research your options and chooses what 'you' think is right for you.
