For about 4 weeks I've had a cough that won't go away. It feels as though I have mucus or something in the bottom of my throat and I need to cough it up but there's nothing actually there. I've had this kind of cough in the past that's lasted a while then it goes away for a short time then comes back again. I'm not having trouble breathing or swallowing or anything, just this niggly cough. I know they say if you've had a cough for three weeks, you should see a GP but I'm scared they're going to tell me I've got lung cancer or throat cancer or something. Anyone else experienced this?
