Pain in right ovary, freaking out :(

I've started getting a sharp stabbing pain in my right lower abdomen (pretty much where my ovary is) whenever I pee. It doesn't hurt any other time, although I seem to get a slight dull ache in the same area now and again. I get UTI's and recurrent cystitis but I don't think this is what's wrong as I have no symptoms of a urine infection. I'm also on birth control and so it can't be ovulation pains.

I'm starting to worry there's something really wrong. Does anyone know what it could be and whether it requires a visit to a doctor? I would really appreciate any advice :(

I've been having the same thing for a bit. I've had an ultrasound, lab tests, and a pelvic exam and everything came back as normal. They're doing some more tests to check on endometriosis. Go visit a doctor and eliminate any infection, cysts, etc. To help alleviate your fears my doctor told me that ovarian cancer does not usually present with pain.
