I have started my Moviprep and I am really, really, struggling. It has taken just under 2 hours to get down 500ml. I have started on my next 500ml to make up the 1Litre and I just cannot cope with it. I am so bloated, nauseous and struggling to swallow. Can't keep it all down. I have only been twice and that was nothing to write home about. How long does it usually take before things get going? I'm getting worried it won't work, and I don't want to go through this again. My instinct is telling me to try and get the litre down, however long it takes. Have a two hour gap like it says on the packet, then try again, although I have no idea how I will manage it.
Any ideas?

It gets going pretty quick when you drink it.

Can't you mix some cordial with it maybe?

Hi Nichola

The prep was supposedly lemon flavoured-YUK.

The problem was the stuff seemed to hit my stomach and just sat there. Got past my first 1L and was going to wait for a couple of hours, then I was proper sick, three times. Each time it went in, it came back.

I am going in about an hour, but I don't know if they will be able to do anything.
Excuse the information but things are pale liquid, but not clear.

Read the leaflet which says about not taking stuff with Ulcerative Colitis, which is what I have??
I'll let you know.

It's done. All OK. I obviously managed to get enough inside me.
To anyone due to have a Colonoscopy I can tell you the procedure itself is a piece of cake, absolutely no big deal. The worst part is the prep.
Glad it's over.

When I had the sigmoidoscopy done the prep was not very nice, I had a lot of pooping done that day
even though the stuff I was allowed to eat and not allowed to eat the night before I drink at, and the day before.

For me the sigmoidoscopy was so uncomfortable but glad I went through it.
