Hi everyone, if I need a re-referral from my GP to a Gastroenterologist will I be seen quicker than a 1st time re-referral?

Depends what's the matter i suppose, I would expect the waiting time would be about the same for routine and non urgent. I waited about 6 weeks for my first referral and a bit longer for my re referral.

I waited 4 months for my first referral so 6 weeks isn't too bad at all!

I agree with Alma, why would it be more urgent than anyone else? If there was a consideration that the extra delay could be a problem to treating you, I'm sure they would make it an urgent one but otherwise no chance, back in the queue with the rest really.

Six weeks is ok, Callum. It can take months for some referrals. My mum waiting about the same as you did before to get to a dermatologist.
