Lump on finger joint palm side

Hi last night whildt picking up a box I discovered the palm side of my right hand was painful close to where my finger meets the palm. I then felt it and I'm so petrified as there is a bean size lump under the skin not protruding at all but almost attached to the bone on the finger joint. Im so scared it feels so horrible and quite painful. It's rock hard and feels like another bone. I've checked ans I don't have it on any other fingers...

Or could be a ganglion. Small cyst generally on your finger joints. No need to do anything with it.

Could be a wart? Does it look like hard skin? Like cauliflower? Does it itch?

They are very common in those areas.

It's not protruding from the skin it's underneath and quote painful. Feels like it's part of the bone.
