I know that a huge percentage of feeling hungry can be thirst mistaken
for hunger,
why not try a glass of water next time you feel peckish,
it's good for you anyway so what do you have to lose

are you eating junk food?
have you considered over active thyroid ?

Apparently extreme hunger can be a side effect of Citalopram, so it very well could be that. Some members taking it say they put on weight because they end up eating more. Having never taken it myself, I'm not sure if altering the dose eases this , or if it's a side effect that's there no matter what the amount you take, but other members taking it would be able to give you more information.

I'm sure a quick conversation with your gp would give better clarity

Ok well whether you need to lose or gain weight, the hunger issue is more than likely a side effect of the Citrolapram. As Stecakes said, better to have a word with your doctor if it continues.
