facial tension

i'm having bad facial tension. It's like my jaws and feel tense and won't relax. I just started a low dose of Zoloft, so i'm hoping that will help me relax. I took Xanax because the facial tension freaks me out. I've tried massaging my face. Any good tips?

This appears to be a normal thing when first going on SSRI's.

I got this when I was on Citalopram in 2008.

Clenching of jaw, and occasional grinding of teeth. The solution isn't to throw more drugs at it.

It will subside on its own once you become accustomed to the drug.
