I've had a pea sized lump about 1 inch above my collar bone for years (3-4 years)
It's never bothered me until my uncle who got diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago, he passed away last night and it got me thinking should I be worried? It's never grown or changed in size, same feel, except I touched it today again and it hurts around the muscle area.
Since my uncle got diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago I've been constantly worried I've got/ going to get cancer.

I also got a pea-sized lump in the right side of my neck which I first discovered almost 2 years ago but must've been there much longer. As you said, it hasn't changed in size, so you have nothing to worry about.

No, you shouldn't be worried. It hasn't changed in 3-4 years. I also have a little lump there for years. I actually had my Mom ultrasound it since she is a sonographer and it wasn't even a lymph node, was just some fatty tissue or muscle or whatever.

I too have a lymph node about one inch or so above my collar bone. It's been there for nearly two years and doctors are not worried (although I am). I just noticed a smaller lymph node as well in the same area. It could have been there for a while because I did have to dig to find it. Just letting you know you aren't alone in your fears!

Nope...

Cancer is an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells. It doesn't come and go nor does it stop once it starts.

In 3-4 years you'd be 6 feet under untreated.
