In the right side of my neck i have a firm swollen gland in my neck which causes an ache and uncomfortable feeling. The doctor has referred me to the ear nose and throat specialists as he says it shouldnt be there and he mentioned cancer to me!!!

Ive had a full blood count done a few weeks back, nothing was said about it so im guessing it was fine.

However i get a weird feeling in the upper left side of my stomach amd back just under my ribs? Enlarged spleen maybe?? And some bowel issues with acid reflux. Im terrified it is cancer that has spread to my glands!! I also have another swollen gland in the back of my neck with is noticeable whej my head is down.

Could it be cancer??

I wouldn't worry too much I have had a nose in my neck for about 6 years had an ultrasound on it and it was fine. The gland next to it is also slightly lay raised. I found mine by constant pulse feeling. It's good the doctor is ruling everything out it will hopefully put your mind at ease.
I also have bad acid reflux and get all sorts of wierd pains. They certainly make your mind wander! X

Nodes are very annoying little things.

I have numerous raised around my groin. Had an ultrasound done on em a couple of years back and not flagged as a cause for concern. Got worried about them again recently so had a blood test today.

I would try not to worry about it. It's a very very common complaint on these boards.

Hi, Emily. Could it be? Well, there's always a very slim chance. And I mean VERY slim, IMO. People experience things like that all the time. It's rarely ever cancer. There are plenty of benign causes.

Its only because my doctor had no other explanation to why is it like that since i have no infection and said cancer. (I have a cold atm, but my gland has been swollen amd achy for months).

I do have an autoimmune disease hashimotos however the doctor felt my thyrpid and said its not related.

Generally anything cancerous isn't painful. Your doctor may not have had another explanation but that doesn't mean there isn't one. There are literally dozens of reasons why a node would swell, unfortunately, cancer is one of them and this is probably why you've been referred, to rule it out.

I know it's tough to rationalise, but I'm afraid all you can do is wait for your referral and take it from there. Chances are it's something pretty mundane, so just keep trying to tell yourself that.

bad acid reflux will cause reactive nodes and pain
if you're thinking this is some sort of spread from your
spleen, it would not be the nodes in your neck it would spread to
it would affect nearest nodes. which aren't in the neck .
the majority of lymph nodes 2to 3 cm are benign reactive nodes.

So today ive been to the orthodontist as im paying for braces..she did an xray and the bottom wisdom tooth on the right side is impacted and slanted onto my other tooth. Could this cause the swollen gland? Im still frettig about cancer due to the gland amd ache
