Crackling /popping sound in ears

I've had a sore throat and post nasal drip for a few days now. This morning I woke up to the sound of popping and crackling in both ears.
It's been and off all day now. Has anyone had his before? Any tips for getting rid of this? Uhhh, so annoying .

Often. Due to congestion in the Eustachian tubes. I take sudafed for it and then go about my life

I wake up with this in one ear every morning. I was diagnosed with eustacian tube dysfunction earlier this year. It is mostly cleared up now but I do still get a cracking or whooshing sound when I wake up.

Do you use anything to allieviate the feeling, or does it go away by itself?
