Chest discomfort

Often when I am sitting by myself reading i get this sort of chest ache on the left side radiating to my shoulder. I am worried this could be heart related as I am quite overweight and am worried I have caused permanent damage as I am only 20 this is scary does anyone know what this could be?

A doctor would be the best resource to evaluate the pain and explain what is likely causing it. With that said, it's unlikely cardiac, IMO. Do you lean/prop yourself up on your left arm? Or perhaps it's from holding whatever you're reading - phone, tablet, book, etc. That happens to me all the time.
