knee swollen

Hi all,

Been a while since I been on here. Happy New year to all!

Last couple days my right knee has swollen a bit and I can't fully bend my knee all the way. Think I twisted it and when I did it would click alot, esp when I be turning. The clicking stopped but swelling has arisen. Not massively but its there.

Ive no real pain as such so should I worry and get myself off to A&E or just wait for docs.

Just worried about blood clots etc

Sounds like you strained it a bit like you said. Ice, OTC med like ibuprofen to reduce swelling and keep it raised. You'd be in a lot of pain and be experiencing redness and much more swelling of it were more serious. If it's still bothering you in a couple of days you could check with a doc.

thanks. Much appreciated. Just noticed a slight bulge at back of knee too which doesnt help those anxious thoughts!
