View Full Version : Mucus question
Hi my bowel movements are normal and at the same time each day but I just noticed not on the stool but in the toilet what looked like a little toilet paper but on inspection I think was mucus but only about an inch long and thin and whitish in colour. Is this mucus and if so is is that a bad think could it be a sign of cancer. I looked stupidly up google and says some mucus is normal but shouldn't be visible and if there is lots it may indicate a problem. Help ?

Mucus is normal and is lubrication for your colon. It is not one of the red flag symptoms doctors look for.

Even if is white when is says a lot does that mean the toilet is full of it ?

1 inch of mucus is not a significant amount of mucus.
