Smell hallucination?

So I had random smells before like chemical smells randomly but haven't in a while. But just now I had a little panic randomly over feeling abit weird then all of a sudden I had a strong vinegar smell for a few seconds. Why did this happen! My anxiety could so easily link this to a brain tumour or something but I refuse to look it up. May someone help me out!!

I had a similar experience woke up yesterday with the smell of the hospital I was in over xmas. Was very odd

I've read it can be due to sinusitis?

The last time I whiffed something that wasn't there, my Bontempi started up (I was in bed) and my Gran's old rocking chair started rocking back and forth by itself.

The smell was her perfume and she'd been dead for six years.
