Hi

Just a post to say that I had my emg and although I do not have the full results yet the consultant doing the test said that I do not have mnd/als or anything 'big' going on. He said that he thinks the final results will be normal but he needs to do the calculations etc first and my neurologist will be in touch.

The hospital inwent to is the specialist place for the whole of Scotland and the consultant said unfortunately he diagnoses ALS every week. He also said that when people come worrying about ALS they never have it.

When I have the final results I will update further.

Thanks Fishmanpa.

I always post updates because I hate it myself when I search someone story to find out what happened and there is no update. Then it scares me even more!

My recovery has also been going well. My medication has kicked in properly so although I am still having intrusive thoughts all the time, I am not acting on them so much, no googling etc. Very little checking although I've not stopped this all together yet. I am seeing the psychologist today to. This will
Be my 3rd appointment. The worry about random symptoms is still there but at the moment I'm able to push them away a bit whereas a few weeks ago I was literally paralysed with fear. Wasn't even able to eat for weeks.

Will still be a long road to get back to where I was but I know I will get there.

Thanks for your continued support x

That is very good news!

The lack of googling and checking is going to really help.
