Ingrown Toenail? Anyone!?

So, I'm pretty sure I have an ingrown toenail. I also think it has become infected, since it's slightly reddish (or wine color?).

My GP is on vacation still, so I cant go to him. Are there any serious complications for this. I'm terrified. Will I lose my toe, my foot?

Anyone has dealt with and ingrown toenail/infection before?

more times than I can count and never lost a digit or a foot, soak it in epsom salts and you can either wait for the DR or dig that bad boy out yourself, Ive done both.

I have an ingrown/dead toenail on my left big toe that i've had for about two-three years and it hasn't caused me any issues, just soak it in some salt water every now and then to keep it sanitised and it shouldn't cause much harm(they can be quite painful at times) but other than that its safe (I was told it turns greenish only then should you worry about making a Drs appointment x
