Poem: Mindfully Managing ( an oddity )

Mindfully Managing
================

Paying attention in a particular way
In the moment you need to stay
Your brain will thank you I am sure
Though Its not a silver bullet or a cure

Brain chemistry will change with our devotions
Amygdala shrinking controlling those emotions
Dealing with the Fight or Flight evocation
Soothing your responses like a lotion

Pre Frontal Cortex as on I natter
Better conflict management with that grey matter
Problem Management and Sharing feelings
Helping us with our daily dealings

Hippocampus improves as well
Mindfully we see this area swell
Increased cortical thickness can be yours and mine
Better memory and learning delivered in time

Appreciate that this is a very odd poetic rhythm
Aiming to show what Mindfulness is giving

Staring into your eyes I see the whole universe
Loving words form without rehearse
Blues mix with Greens mix with me
Your eyes sparkling for the world to see
Feeling loved in your eyes
Feeling calm in your eyes
Feeling safe in your eyes
Feelings turn to desire
Feelings turn into a fire
An abyss of bliss
Yearning for the kiss
Waves of emotion
As deep as the ocean
Deep deep devotion
Lost in your eyes
Found in your heart
Fate will never tear us apart
For yours is the welcoming soul
Together we become whole
We are One
But not the same
Happiness abounds
When I call your name
Lay with me here
Take away all the fear
Just
be
near.
