Hello , this is my first post . I have been going through a really stressful time as my marriage broke down before Christmas when my husband who has been suffering with sever Mental health issues (personality disorder) for the last 2 years left. I have had health anxiety previously in my life at times when I've been going through difficult experiences. So I know my mind can be my own worst enemy at times when I automatically jump to the worst case scenario.
 so last week,I developed (literally overnight) a sore left breast..it feels heavier that the other, has a hard gristly this area around under the nipple , is very painful to touch and has a pinky patch across my breast. Feels hot also. My first thought was infection as I had mastitis years ago when breastfeeding and it's feels similar. But then I'm not breastfeeding now . Also when I looked up the symptoms I came across inflammatory breast cancer. Well i Have not been able to settle myself since. I went to see the dr and he gave me an antibiotic 500 mg 4 times per day X a week but said if it got worse I need to be seen.
My question... If the symptoms improve or clear can I've sure this is juts an infection? It's day three of this antibiotic and I can't see improvement yet is that a bad sign? I am
Beside myself with worry 😔:weep:
