Hi all, I'm concerned over my resting heart rate it doesn't get lower than around 79-85... Is this ok? With my ongoing chest pain it does concern me I've had an ecg which was ok but that's all test wise.my hubbys resting is 59, and I've been having daily palps where my heart races and takes my breath away (they scare me the most as I feel like my hearts about to pack up!) and other palps like a skipped beat and thud .i had a 24 monitor on back in 2015 when pregnant as I was getting them lots but of course during those 24 hrs nothing showed up:shrug: even waking in the morning it's 82! My gp isn't concerned but my anxiety is telling me to push to see a cardiologist :weep:is there anyone else with heart rate this fast ? Just worries me as hubbys is nice and low.
Thank you all so much :hugs:

Mine has been 80 for most of my life.

Still here. Very little anxiety.

Your expectations of your heart-rate and what it means are wrong, and that is the source of your worry. 5 minutes of reading about normal heart-rates would sort you out.

Anything under 100 is a normal resting heart rate x

Mine stays around 80 also. So we are right in middle of what is considered normal

Waking in the morning and heart rate is 82? Lucky! When I get out of bed mine usually hits a little under 100 for a few minutes. Haha! Agreed, perfectly normal. I'm on a beta blocker, but my resting rate prior to that tended to be high 90s, once in a long while even a tad over 100. Not really concerning but enough to try a beta blocker.

My resting heart rate is never below 90 and I never thought of it as being a problem.

Also when you test your heart rate you're consciously worrying that it'll be high, and anxiety definitely causes it to increase.

resting for me is 75-80

Sleeping is 50-70

been that way as long as I have known to check it or had a device to tell me and my Dr says that puts me smack dab in the middle of the worlds population.:yesyes:

My resting heart rate is around 70-80. I got nervous hearing it should be lower. I exercise a lot and have great stamina so... I don't know? I guess I try not to worry about it hah because it certainly feels normal to me :)
