Brief backstory, I'm writing this to keep myself sane more than anything...
32yo female mum of two.
Never had a health issue for the first 31 years of my life, but have always suffered general anxiety, with flare ups at times.
Until 18 months ago, I had never worried about my own health. Well only if I was actually crook, but I was never anxious about it. Then it started. A few weeks of light headedness and fatigue had me take myself off to the GP. He did and MRI of my head to "rule everything out" but I got really stressed about it. Then when I rang to get the results the nurse told me the doc wanted to see me in person and booked me an appointment. I had my first full blown panic attack. I couldn't breath, I couldn't walk, I was like jelly. I was convinced that he was going to tell me I had a brain tumour or MS and my two babies would be motherless. Of course the MRI was relatively normal, just a minor thing that he wanted to flag with me...
From then on I have had-
Full body wide twitching, buzzing, tingling 24/7, convinced myself I had ALS. Visual problems, flickers, flashes, floaters, eye pressure, rings in vision, Halos, starbursts, after images.... all I have is subtle early cataracts apparently.
Then migraines, more visual stuff....must have some rare neurological disease. I've had puffy eyes, pain in my foot with a lump that I convinced myself was cancer ( was plantar Fascitis, probably caused by my strength tests to make sure I don't have ALS)
I had some spotting for a week before my period, rushed to the doc who ordered an ultrasound (normal) and a pap smear (normal) Pap smear found a rare bug, doc retested and said it was just contamination. I read all the symptoms of this infection (at time I had none) now over the last five months I've had them all... discharge, pain both constant. Docs find no bugs on any swabs except ureaplasma. More antibiotics, do nothing... now booked for surgery to investigate uterus and tubes/ovaries and clean out and test uterine lining. Still waiting for another neurologist appointment on 30th Jan for all the visual problems...
Honestly, I can't get my head around all this, going from being fine to so many different issues and specialists and tests and... I'm not coping
Thanks for listening.
