A family member has come down with severe sepsis and is being treated in hospital. This member has been around my 10 month old son a lot recently and I'm really concerned that my son might catch it. Is this possible? I'm really really worried. Thanks

You cannot catch Sepsis. Sepsis is the result of a massive immune response to bacterial infection that gets into the blood.

Confirming above
Sepsis is not contagious at all
It's a serious complication from a bacterial infection (which is also not contagious)
