Eye Pain in the morning

When I first wake up the morning I've been experiencing eye pain in my right eye. It's tiny spurts of sharp the few minutes that I'm up and then it goes away. Is it dry eyes? I do sleep with my fan on high but I keep a towel over it. Anyway, I had this before and I thought it went away (I admit I was ignoring it because I didn't want stress myself out because the last time I got worried about my eye I was a mess). Anyway, I'm not experiencing any other symptoms. Has anyone else ever had this?

Sometimes I get a pressure build up behind my eye in the morning and I put it down to sleeping in a funny way which blocks the blood flow in my carotid artery and then causes intercranial pressure.
