Hello I have booked an appointment to see a dr but just for my peace of nerves can anyone let me know whether these moles look sinister.

No not at all.

But it never hurts to see a doctor! (:

Not a doctor but I'll bet a "Told ya so" that all will be well ;)

New moles can and do pop up throughout life.
I had only a few moles as a child; now, in my 40s, I have many, especially on my back and shoulders.
Just because they're "new" does not mean they are sinister.
Just because they change or grow, also does not mean they are malignant.
Only a doctor can tell you for sure.

best wishes.

PS the second photo you posted looks more like tinea than a mole.
Tinea is a common fungal skin infection that causes discolored spots or patches on the skin. These can be red, pink, tan, brown, or even white (on darker-skinned individuals).
It is so common that more than 50% of people will have it at one time or another in their lives.
The cure is lotrimin AF ointment or a similar anti-fungal cream (over the counter creams work fine). But it can take several MONTHS of daily application before the discolored spot fades completely.
Again, only your doctor can diagnose you, but that second pic sure looks like a patch of tinea to me.
Google "Tinea Versicolor" and compare your spot there to some of the pics on the internet.
