memories are striking like thunder
every time i close my eyes
constantly dragging me under
no way of getting back up

the world i see is too much to take
I'm feeling really lost now
it doesn't matter how much smiles i fake
inside I'll always be crying

i never knew life could be so mean
and make you feel so alone
why waste time on what might have been?
well maybe cos it looks better than what is
