Hi
I've just joined the forum. Confession: I don't actually have anxiety myself at the moment but my partner does and we're both really struggling with it. He wouldn't post on here. In fact part of what I'm struggling with is that he refuses to tell anybody else about it - im the only person he talks to about it, which means that once we've got our young kids to bed after a long day I then have to 'counsel' him every night. I was just about keeping my head above water but now my physical health has taken a turn for the worst and instead of supporting me he is now talking to me every night about his worries for my health. It's getting pretty suffocating and I can't go out and do the things I enjoy to let off steam.
Sorry - I didn't mean to write all of this in my first post! I'm also sorry if this upsets anyone who has anxiety. I suffered depression for 15 years with periods of anxiety so I have at least a bit of understanding about how it affects life.
Bit more general stuff: we live in Manchester, UK and have kids aged 3 and 5. It's nice to meet you all!
