Why didn't they give me contrast

I went to go get an MRI of my brain and they didn't give me contrast. It was a 3t scan and it was the newest scan. Could they have missed a tumor? I know I've already posted it but I want to know why they didn't give me contrast

Did the doctor tell you that they only give u contrast if they see something

I was told they only give contrast in brain MRI if they need to do a second scan if something is found on the first one. The neuro said if someone is having symptoms then it will be seen no problem on a scan. They then would use contrast to diagnose properly and size whatthey have found etc.
