hi about 3 months ago I read up on breathing obsessions and people saying that they are always aware of their breathing for some reason i can't fully understand so I've become obsessed with this is because I've always been aware of my breathing and it's getting me down because it's all i think about what's are they taking about? is it just thinking about breathing and if so can you hurt yourself by thinking about breathing

No, I don't think you can hurt yourself by breathing. I had the problem a few weeks ago but it escaped my mind. Trying not to think about it may be difficult but it seems like a solution. Distracting yourself with music or something good to watch on TV or the internet could help.
