View Full Version : Worried about Aneurisms?

Hi guys,

A new worry as of late.

I've been worried about having some sort of unruptured brain aneurism and been having some symptoms which sort of match the symptoms of one.

It all started a while back around 3 maybe 4 months ago. I'd get random shooting pains in my head and numbness on one side of the face. The pains would only last literally a split second and they did bring along some pressure feelings as well in my head.

I also had a stiff neck all the time which would seem to get worse at times and then go away on its own.

Drinking alcohol seemed to cause a weird pulsing feeling in my head in rhythm with my heartbeat, and a sort of flushed feeling in the face and head.

Again, this went away for a while, but lately I've been having these black floaters in my left eye which come and go, the pressure and pains again, and nearly constant dizziness and fatigue.

In 2010 I was diagnosed with anxiety, and it got to the point that due to similar symptoms I was sent to a neurologist who did an MRI of my brain and found absolutely nothing to worry about.

I'm wondering if this is anxiety again, or if something more sinister could have developed over time since then.

It's got to the point now where out of fear of an aneurism I do not do anything too physical, I don't like to sneeze and I hate doing anything at all which could raise my blood pressure or strain myself to cause a potential aneurism to rupture.

I've had a barrage of tests and scans including having an optician take photos of he back of my eyes, blood tests, ECGs, 24 Hour ECGs, Blood pressure monitors for a week, chest x-rays, x-rays and MRI scans of my neck and spine etc... - all of which have come back completely normal.

If it helps, I'm 23, Male standing 5.3 feet tall weighing approximately 12.8 stones.

I'm hoping someone can advise me as I seem to have been to every doctor and specialist and had every test and scan done but I'm still worried!

Thanks!

With respect Yorkie, if all the tests and medical professional's opinions can't convince, you, how can a forum of strangers do it?
