Biopsy after breast ultrasound

I recently had a breast ultrasound where I was told 3 fiborous lumps were found. The doctor said she thought they were benign but I'm being referred for a biopsy anyway.

Why do I need it if they were benign? I'm 25 years old

Because they have to cover their bases. That have to be sure. Most biopsies are benign. Did they give you a Birads score?

No I have had the official results yet the doctor was just speaking to me when she was doing the uktrasound. Is it normal not to get a birad score?

Wait, did they do a mammogram too? I can't remember if they give a Bi rads score with ultrasound or just mammograms. I had both, so that's why I'm confused. Sorry!

I think birad score is a US thing, never seen it mentioned in the UK.
