Do you have pain medication or a plan for your headaches? That sounds really nasty, headaches are the absolute worst.

Does your doctor know about your mum? You could talk to your doctor about your fears and look at ways to minimise your risk. However, it's also important to remember that just because your mum had a stroke, does not mean at all you will have one!

Been having them now for a year pretty much constant. I have oxygen to help for headaches injections and a device called the gammacore. Suffer with anxiety too so everything is twice hard. I have a specialist he thinks I have cluster headaches. O f course what happened to my mum worrys me keep worrying about stroke

I know someone who has cluster headaches and is still going strong at 67, chronic headaches don't exactly mean a stroke will happen x

All the best :hugs:

Hi Bev

My mum had chronic headaches when she started her change and they were with her for a long time...bless her. She used to put vinegar (yukk smell) on a handkerchief and lay on the sofa, she didn't have a stroke. Could yours be menopause related?

Think they have done tests for menopause. Just getting me down so much its having a huge impact on my life. Going for more tests in Liverpool soon hopefully I will get some help. Thanks for replying els

Headaches can be caused by so, so many different things. Even things such as tense muscles!! So don't worry.

And stroke is a cardiovascular thing. Long as you exercise and eat good food :)
