Hello all,

I am new to this forum, I'm from Canada and I'm and RN (I know I should know better)
I was hit playing a sport tonight and was fairly hard, and I think I bumped my head. I am worried that I have a concussion and that I will either die in my sleep of a brain bleed or something else terrible will happen. My nose ran a little after the game so of course being a nurse I immediately assumed I was having a CSF leak. We have a neurologist on my team who said there is really nothing to worry about, and it made me feel okay for a few seconds, but you know how it is, I feel good for a second and then right back to worrying. I don't have a headache or anything, feel a bit "off" but that could also be my anxiety talking. I'm just so scared Any advice would be much appreciated.

We have a neurologist on my team

What's the chances of that - a specialist right there for you! Like in 'Annie Hall' when Woody Allen is in a cinema line argument and he produces Marshall McLuhan. :)

but you know how it is, I feel good for a second and then right back to worrying

Yes I do know!! It's so frustrating! But you obviously have to trust the neurologist, we both know you're OK really, don't we?

Word from the neurologist would completely put my HA to rest.

Why do you feel you can't trust his word?

I had a fear of this once. CSF would put out of your head when u tilt your head forward. You wouldn't be able to sniff it back up. Trust your doctors and stop worrying lol
