Citalopram increase

I posted here kind of frantically yesterday but im on day 2 of 40mgs of citalopram for anxiety and depression. Ive taken citalopram for 2 years the worst was when I first started but going from 10-20-30 was fine but is it normal to feel this sick from going up to 40? I'm at my wits end here if this is normal I'll stick it out but I'm starting to fear cit just won't work for me anymore. I have to say I am more anxious but I'm not sure if it's because I'm stressing out or from the cit. Ugh

An increase in side-effects, including heightened anxiety is not uncommon when upping SSRI doses. Stress may be adding to the problem. They probably won't last more than a few days, though this isn't a guarantee.

Thanks for the reply man. My doctor went a different route she put me on 1mg klonopin and dropped me back down to 30 and wants to try this for a month.
