Violence is Preventable
If all we ever teach our kids
Are violent thoughts and acts
Then that is all they'll ever know
And how they will react
For violence is the easy path
They practice every day
If no-one ever takes the time
To show another way
The violence they live and learn
Can only lead to sorrow
For all the children of today
Are adults of tomorrow
A new born child is pure of thought
No hate or scorn inside
A peaceful way to live their lives
Should never be denied
Violence is a learned response
But kids can understand
That Violence is Preventable
If we all take a stand.
