Just wanted to post on here and see if anyone has had any similar experiences and could maybe give me some tips.
I started celexa almost 2 weeks ago because the past year and a half my anxiety has been so bad I could barely function. I am seeing some improvements so I am pretty optimistic at this point. Heart palpitations and panic attacks have stopped!! but I still have really bad anxiety just in general. I still am really uncomfortable driving long distances, feel spaced out in crowds, and feel clausterphobic in certain situations. Another thing is I used to travel a lot and it was my passion but now all of a sudden for the past year I am scared to get on a plane, bus, any type of public transport for some reason, just the thought of it makes my anxiety crazy! Do you think when my anxiety gets better those fears will subside or have I developed phobias of flying, etc...?
Anyway, I just thought I would share a little bit about my experiences so far and update every couple of days if no one minds

I'm on day 12 too with my medication and not too happy with the results so far..

Happy to hear your panic attacks stopped.

My anxiety has been disabling for the past 2 years, so I can relate.

Sorry, I don't have an answer to your question.

I'm on day 11 of Zoloft. I was having more good days. Yesterday, I had a final exam to do for class and I cried through the whole thing. I still have nausea in the morning and feeling spaced out. Everyone keeps telling it will get better, give it two weeks. I just keep thinking that I'm not crying all day and the negative thoughts have diminished. Keep posting, it feels better knowing I'm not alone.:yesyes:

Hi I'm also feeling the same 'spaced out' feeling. I'm taking 15mg of citalopram for PND and anxiety but not really feeling any benifits yet apart from increased anxiety! On day 17 hoping things get better.

We are all pretty new to the medication so hopefully will feel better after a few more weeks.

those fears will subside :) i assure you.

and day 12 is WAY too soon for everything to work. within 3-4 weeks you should be seeing more positive changes. if not, you might just need a higher dosage!

I weaned myself off the Zoloft after 20 days, I couldn't stand being a zombie. I am now on day 7, drug free. I feel amazing! Anxiety is gone, sleeping better and appetite back. I don't know what happened, maybe the drug kept me in a cocoon long enough to heal my brain? I intended on talking to the specialist about it Wednesday.
