Does anyone else get really dizzy a week or two prior to their period? I always do, especially when I get up in the morning or when I am lying down. It's really uncomfortable. The doctor told me I am mildly anemic and I have been taking iron tablets, but it's not helping. I was wondering if this happens to anyone else. My doctor said it was mostly anxiety related because I always dread getting my period because of how ill it makes me feel. She said I feel ill because of all the tension and fear of my period and the slight iron deficiency. But the feelings won't go away! Any tips?

I am post menopause now but I used to experience a lot of dizziness the week before my period and also felt like my eyes were blurry.

I got this when I was pregnant as well as before my period. I believe it's due to progesterone, the dominant hormone after ovulation and of course during pregnancy! It relaxes all your blood vessels and ligaments so everything can stretch easier to accomodate a baby. Of course after ovulation you're not guaranteed to be pregnant but your body prepares like its going to be!

If it goes away during the first half of your cycle it's pretty much guaranteed to be hormone related. :)

I get it a few days before my period and also on the day of my period. It's how I know my period has started lol
