Does anyone get a thumping noise in their ear? I experienced this last night, and it lasted for hours until I went to bed, just a continuous irregular thumping noise that sounds like your ear is equalizing pressure. Googling it, it seems like it is caused by a muscle twitch in your inner ear. But I'm worried about why I had the twitch in the first place?
I was sleep deprived with only 3 hours of sleep the night before, which may have contributed to it, I don't know. However, I guess I'm really worried because I had a stressful event right before hand. I was standing on the couch to turn off the lamp which was behind it, and in the dark afterwards I tripped off. I caught myself on my foot, but it all happened so fast, that my leg was practically straight when I landed, and I'm worried that maybe the force traveled up and injured my brain! I guess that is irrational, but the thumping began like 10 minutes after, so I'm worried it's related.
