I am a 34 yr old male and have been having stomach/abdominal discomfort for the past 2 weeks. I have been getting heartburn a lot as well. Went to my primary care doctor and was diagnosed with gastritis and stomach bug and was prescribed Prilosec 40mg. ever since then i am seeing an increase in bowel movement. I recent saw some blood when i wiped as well.I went to the GI and they looked saw an internal hemmorhoid and said that is why i saw some blood. However with the increase in bowel movement and abdominal discomfort i cannot but think that something is really wrong. The GI agreed to do a colonoscopy next week and now i am freaking out that something is really wrong. Have anyone had these symptoms? Heartburn, Stomach/Lower Abdominal discomfort, 2-3 bowel movements a day. I am also seeing undigested food in my stool although i have never looked before this to see if that is normal for me. I am basically obssesed with this and not sure how i am going to do the prep for colonoscopy and also what the results will be...
