Long story short, lightheadedness and confusion brought me to urgent care last Friday, who in turn sent me to the ER where all my symptoms disappeared after about 10 minutes. Prior to that it was about two hours of hell. Now, four days later I meet with my GP to discuss and go over what happened. They're going to put me on a Holter monitor for 24 hoursand may refer me to a specialist depending on what he believes is going on.

I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna level with him and inform him that I think most, if not all of this was caused by anxiety. I think there's a certain point where there is a far greater chance of it being that than anything else. This is a big step, because I have a nagging fear that this could possibly lead masking the devastating neurological disease that I have been hunting for months now, but it's time to face facts. The only thing I definitely know that I have is health anxiety.

Here goes nothing... or as the great Arnold Judas Rimmer (BSC, SSC) once said "glory or insanity awaits."

Just remember - what you worry might mask a serious illness doesn't necessarily do so for a medical professional.

It sounds like you're gaining some insight into the reality of your situation. It doesn't sound to me like the holter monitor is even necessary - although I'll happily defer to the experts treating you!

In any case, it sounds like you're starting to move in the right direction.
