Throat injury?

I was playing with my computer charger and the plug hit my throat. It didn't hurt but now I am unable to differentiate between symptoms of globus and throat injury. On the internet it said "throat injury should not be ignored." I know that my "injury" was very small, but is there any way to tell if it was really something bad or just my globus acting up.

If you get hit in throat and it needs attention, you would normally having trouble breathing quite quickly.

It's more the force you question and if you had been punched in the throat, it might be a different story but not a lightweight object with little force like what has happened.
