so i have 4 palpable small lymph nodes on the base of my neck 2 on each side, i seen a doctor who did a cbc and ultrasound and i was told that they are normal and i tried pushing for a biopsy and i was denied due to the small sizes and appearances of the nodes. so im left with no other options as far as tests due to my insurance situation i cant go straight to a specialist. these nodes drive me insane. so i looked up online and people mentioned using a warm compress such as a cloth rag or something to get the nodes to decrease in size so you cannot feel them. my nodes seem to get discomfort in them very slightly and when i rub them the discomfort seems to go away. i poke them day and night and over the past 6 months since i discovered them the sizes havent seem to change according to the ultrasound the biggest on the base of my neck is 1.1 x 0.8 cm but it is very palpable to me. what can i do aside from not poking them?

You cannot treat a physical issue you don't have but you can treat the mental issue causing you to believe there is.
