Lately I've been reading up on diabetes as I have gone to 15 stone 7 from 14 stone in a few no the and keep reading google. I took myself to Lloyds pharmacy and they did a diabetes test today on my finger. It came up as 5.4 and straight away she said it's normal and got a pharmasict to sign the sheet off. That was That! Issue is I then looked on Google and it says 4.1 to 5.4 is normal....that means I'm on the border of normal. Straight away I looked at a health report from 2015 and it was 4.8. I ate 4 hours before but only a belvita. I have stopped all fizzy drink, chocolate etc and will lose weight quickly buy I'm worried my HA will.take over and I will keep testing myself like when I was obsessed with blood pressure. Please can someone guide me.

Normal levels are between 4.0 and 6.0 for a healthy person. I can assure you that your reading is entirely normal and in no way indicative of diabetes.

Someone just told me 4-7 is normal for this test..im praying that is right. 4 hours after I ate. Maybe the test will be a blessing him disguise as I can change my diet.

Anyone?

I've already replied and told you that between 4.0 and 6.0 is normal. What else is there to discuss?

I know, sorry. It's the I internet, and I work for a health screening company that says 4-5.4 is normal so I'm at the high level. So many different things on google. Have stopped takeaways and fizzy drinks now. My concern is if it as 5.5 would it be pre.
