In the past I have had bad chest infections that left me needing an inhaler, that was when I was 13/14. I'm now 17 and don't get that anymore but recently I have had a dry throat (feels like a lump is stuck) and tonight when I breath in there is a slight wheezing sound. I have a bit of a cough but have had a dry throat the last week, but it's only at night it gets worse. Im scared to go to sleep incase I die.

A slight wheeze won't kill you.

I have had a wheeze show up with every cold I've had since Sept. This has never happened to me in my life, I am 45!

In my case, I needed inhalers or steroids, and that always does the trick to get the wheezing and coughing under control. I think it's been a terrible year for colds, I have heard so many people mention that their colds have lasted and lasted. This might be the new normal with climate change. Just go get yourself checked out if it doesn't go away in a few weeks. Definitely go to sleep though!!!
