View Full Version : Would an MRI show a tumor?
I have this deep ache behind the muscle behind my ear. It aches when I turn my head and I also have this whooshing sound that I hear at night and in quiet places. I've had an MRI of the head for tinnitus, which showed nothing abnormal. Would this show some sort of growth maybe pushing on something behind my ear? I don't know why I hear this sound or why I have the ache.
Chances are it will be visible with an MRI.
It absolutely would see a tumour. An MRI is the best imaging scan available, it's what doctors use to determine if someone has cancer anyway in the body and it is especially useful for brain tumours.
Rest assured, if there was anything there then the MRI would have found it.
