View Full Version : 21 days on 20mg (from 10mg) Morning anxiety still bad :(
Hi all, i have a question. Does anyone else feel bad for 2-3 hours after taking their citalopram?
I take 20mg at 7.30am and i feel very anxious (more than usual) and have moderate nausea / stomach ache for approx 2-3 hours then it passes.
Is this morning anxiety or is this the citalopram?
Afternoons are better and evenings are much calmer.
Also after 21 days should i be feeling any less anxious?
Thanks for your time.
Neil.

I would call your doctor. I couldn't tolerate side effects of 25mg of Zoloft. The doctor might recommend that you take it at night. I took my meds at night. I now from reading the threads that it can take quite a few weeks for medication to see any effects. After 20 days my brain felt better but I was tired of being a slug and decided to learn to cope with life without medication. So far so good! I wish you luck.
Yes, I am about a month into taking my celexa and still feel anxious- I just upped the dose and am about to up in again.

That's why I don't like medication. The doctors feel that the only answer is to increase the medication. I'm a medication free and after the hole I feel into while on it, I won't go back. Each person is different, I hope they work for you.

To what dose?
My doctor just upped my to 30MG (this is my third day). She wants me to get to 40MG.

Is your anxiety bad in the mornings?
The morning anxiety is horrific. I literally wake up shaking, until I take Xanax to power through the mornings.
Morning anxiety is usually the last thing to go. It took nearly a year for mine to go completely.
