Going through a metal detector daily

Hello,

I recently got a new job that requires me to go through a metal detector every time I enter the building.

This concerns me greatly and causes some intense anxiety. It's been hard for me to get over. I have been thinking about leaving the job because of it (it's a sweet gig) because I can't deal with the fact that I have to walk through that everyday. I'm afraid it's going to cause harm to my body.

I don't know what to do. Part of me says leaving the job due to this is a big mistake. Another part of me just can't handle it. My thoughts get very gloomy when I think about walking through it daily.

Any advice? I don't know what to do.

People go through metal detectors on a regular basis and they're fine x.
i understand your concern with it but if the job i really good i'd urge you to not give it up for a fear, if we listen to the fear and avoid it, it only fuels the fear like fire and it will be stronger x

Agree with above user, I been through lots of metal detactors, whilst in Egypt and Tunisia I must have been through four or five per day
