I saw a post on here a while ago about people suffering with heart flutter feelings and chest flutters and sensations whilst having indigestion problems.

Every doctor has told me to go try acid reflux tablets and yet these don't really work very well. I get fluttering, sinking, thumping, and all kinds of weird sensations in my chest and this is every single time I eat for about nine months now and nobody can help. I've cut out acidic foods, lost a stone and try ever remedy but nothing seems to be helping.

I wonder if anyone else has this and if so, does anything work for you? Have you found any solutions? I'm 28 and in good health aside from this.

What have you tried and what medical testing have you had.

So far, just heart tests but all came back normal. I used to have SVT but it was corrected and these flutters always make me really worried about my heart. Doctors haven't yet sent me to a stomach specialist but I can't seem to get them to send me; they keep sending me away sadly.

I get alot of the same stuff. Starting to go away a little bit now. Alot of stuff goes on in the abdominal area gas, contractions in stomach and bowels, muscles etc. So this in turn cause concern for your heart which in fact its not your heart. So this increases anxiety which can and does cause major problems such as acid reflux or gerd. My suggestion would be start looking at what you eat. Try Himalayan salt with water works well for alot of people. Then after Himalayan salt take a shot of pepto and before you sleep maybe zantac..keep the stress down its hard believe me I know

I get this sometimes too! Im glad it's not just me. Was really bad yesterday as I have jet lag and really bad stomach. I cant offer much advice, I just try light yoga and dis traction and that the problem is my stomach but it's really hard when it's thumping :( I try and replace electrolytes in my body with a drink of water with salt and some sugar and lemon juice.. might just be a placebo but if that helps anxiety that's fine!

Thanks to both of you and nice to know i'm not alone! It seems more common than I first thought. Yes, i suppose because it's all in the general area, it feels like your heart. I'm very aware of my heartbeat anyway so it makes it worse. Thanks for the himalayan salt idea and also I'll try keep my fluids up. I once read that bloated stomach aggravates the Vagas nerve too which connects round the heart. Possible connection maybe for us :)

Yeah absolutely! A lot of the time I feel I have chest pain/strain in my chest area but when I think about it and actually obeserve the symptoms it's just my stomach!
